''A GOAL WITHOUT A PLAN IS JUST A WISH''
SEE SOME IN-DEPTH PLANNING:
''We were required to create a planning page to show our further understanding of what my later finished product will look like, this helped with ordering and organising everything accordingly to what I want. So, here is an in-depth version of all my planning tasks in one section''.
drawn drafts:
The drawn drafts began the process of planning our final magazine front covers, contents pages and double page spreads. This allows me to further understand my intended audience wants, my visions and applying to my choosen genre of music. Also, the drawn drafts helps to make sure everything is incorporated together making sure nothing is missing, here is my final drawn drafts:
front page drafts
contents page drafts
double pages drafts
digital drafts:
Digital drafts are also another way of ordering, categorising images and boxes so that my magazine looks as realistic and effortless as possible. Digital drafts are used on Adobe Photoshop CS6 so that I can become more familiar with the software when I'm finally doing my magazine:

POSES AND COSTUMES:
Poses and costumes allowed me to recognise the similar aspects a lot of music artists do to attract there audiences, all of the poses and types I used I made sure were associated with my specific music genre (HIP-HOP, R'N'B & RAP):
costumes:
TATTOOS:
Tattoos have hugely developed over the years from many people not wanting them to majority of people have at least 1 and thriving for another. Tattoos originate from much more rough status people such as gangstas, can be used to mark a persons experience during prison, during life, growth or an artistic side . This connotes rebellion, suggesting most or some hip-hop artists have gone to jail at one point in their life. Also, relates to the hip-hop industry as the artists feel they can rebel against authorities in their lyrics, which makes them feel like the have power and dominance.
timberlands:
Clothing and footwear is a big thing in the hip-hop industry, it's also a very well known brand. Timberland's have been around for many years they are affordable and many of the general public and famous people where them constantly. However, everybody wears them differently many celebrities have embraced the unusual laces and made them into funky designs to show there personality and difference with everybody else.
MONEY:
Money speaks for itself celebrities use it to show wealth, hard work and confidence. Money is usually displayed around as they don't care as they loads more. Money seems effortless with they portray it. Also, money in the music industry is something everybody idolises and craves for as having it gives you the sense of success and ownership.
smoking:
Whether smoking a cigar or cannabis celebrities have made these trends to show wealth, freedom and rebellion. Smoking isn't known to be a positive addiction as in many countries smoking cannabis is against the law this also links to the rebelliousness and feeling as if they can do whatever they want. However, these music artists have made them adding it into culture.
fur:
Fur only recently become more accepting as many found that wearing fur was degrading to animals - many music artists wear this to show self confidence and self encouragement. Also, fur is usually extremely expensive if real so it also shows wealth and the fact it being warm and comfy.
poses:
hand gestures:
The artists in the pop, r'n'b and rap genre frequently use hand gestures when posing for the paparazzi or for magazines. the use of hand gestures represent the gang culture featured in their music or they use them to represent their area in songs or in the media. hand gestures can also connote their rebellious side often using their hands to signal a gun or to hide their face connoting they have something to side linking to their music.
body language:
Body language is a huge representation of a artist in this day and age. In common all body languages show that they are self confident, un-fearing and confident. Many artists show that in there body language they don't care and that they are rebellious in there own way.
facial expression:
Facial expression emphasize on a persons personality. Many celebrities in the r'n'b, pop and rap industry use the stance to show a ''non caring'' attitude as the stance used is sudden and no expected but we as the audience expect it because that's what they do frequently. Both male and female artist have this glare also to represent a self confident feeling.
DOUBLE PAGE ARTICLE:
The double page section of the planning page helped plan out what i was going to say making sure it fit my columns properly and applied to what i want my target audience to visually see and to interact with:
contents page analysis:
By completing this task it allowed me to consider the topics i would want to feature in my magazine and what topics my artist would be speaking about on my double page spread. It also enabled me to learn how information on a contents page is usually presented.
camera technique video:
Showing the different camera technique which could be used in my final product. This helped to identify different angles and shoots so that my images are more efficient and realistic:
on-site photo shoot:
This images you will see below were taken on site with a professional back dropo . I used these specific models because they bought a modern feeling to my magazine. Also, I didn't want my magazine to appeal to just one gender but both. The male figure in the photos was dressed in that specific way to link to the new style trends and to connotate wealth and power. However, for the ladies i wanted them to be dressed modern with a music video appeal - the ladies are around him like groupies but the the catch is they aren't groupies but artists with similar flow like him:
3 PHOTOS I like:
The photos below are the ones in which are extremely clear, been properly taken and links to my magazine genre and feeling, these are photos which are most likely to be featured in my magazine:
3 PHOTOS I DISLIKE:
The photos below are the ones in which aren't likely to appear in my magazine as they aren't in focus, they look unprofessional and don't enhance the magazine but bring it down:
off-site photo shoot:
The images you will see below were taken at Waterloo East Station, Intu Bromley and Leake Street Graffiti Tunnel. I used these specific locations as I wanted an usual scenery for me to explore my creativity. The colours which were shown developed a different side of the genre making it more unique - I wanted a mixture of both genders because i wanted to make sure it wasn't the typical magazines that are published these days. As well as, having a younger flow for the younger generation to enjoy:
3 PHOTOS I LIKE:
The photos below are my favourite due to it enhancing the scenery, linking to my genre of music and generally being creative. Also, they were visually clear and it interpreted everything I wanted in my magazine:
3 PHOTOS I DISLIKE:
The photos below are not the ones I liked at all as they weren't focusing on the magazine, they lacked a lot of depth making extremely basic to me. Also, the images didn't to me feel as if the audience would understand the purpose or even be interested in them:
CONSTRUCTION STAGES:
The construction stages are a way of me visually seeing the development in my work over the time period my work , through this I can increasingly see the significant changes I've made to make my grade for my final pieces even more higher:

evaluation for planning:
By the end of this task I had clear photos which were taken to include in my magazine . The photos truly expressed my creativity and vision for this magazine. As well as, the magazine being very personal it is also their for other readers to enjoy and that's that what I tried to further interpret through my images. The ending showed me that it was time to bond all these features together and make it make sense for everyone to enjoy.
